Great Annual for Edging Beds

As requested:

I don't think you can beat vinca, catharanthus roseus. I start them from seed, very easy.

Lots reseed for me. I have them coming up here and there right now and a few are blooming. They would have been much farther along now if I had done them inside around March.

I don't know if they are common locally or not since I buy no annuals.

Another on I like is melampodium, also very easy from seed (started under lights).

Another great one is gomphrena, but it gets around 18-24 inches tall. This one can be direct seeded.
