Fern ideas

Ok, after twenty years (when I didn't live here...my parents home), and two years of my care, my leather wood fern in the northside bed has finally looked really really good this year. This has made me want more/another fern.

I don't really like Christmas ferns, I like the lacy look I'm afraid, that tends to just turn crispy (esp like maidenhair ferns which I love).

I was thinking and want other opinions, if the wooly lip fern (Chelanthes lanosa), which is probably familiar to anyone that ever wandered thin soil glades...and is more of a half sun to full sun fern with rocky shallow soils, might do well in a crevice between the native stone and the cement binder with a pocket of soil.

Anyone tried it ? or have some other suggestions for ferny goodness ?

Thanks
Danny
