| Love the rain but we evidently got serious winds last night. My sweet corn patch is laying flat this morning. The only other thing is the dahlia which I had tied up was laying on its side. The OP corn doesn't seem to be hurt.
I could get really depressed..........JB have removed or destroyed all the leaves on the two little new plum trees. I hope they rejuvenate themselves later. Day before yesterday they were fine. I have kept them sprayed but not after the rain. Nothing to be done but wait. Gardeners will endure! |
Follow-Up Postings:

| Maybe the corn will straighten up. New plum trees with no leaves is bad. I haven't had too many J. beetles but I did notice them making holes in the four o clocks. I think I remember you read that four o clocks repel them. I am not in a good mood either. Weeds everywhere because I have been busy and now I have time and have to look out for copperheads. I am going to get the weed eater out and do what I can with that. |

| Glenda, I'm sorry about your corn. We had it happen once but it was because the racoons had a fun night. I know it's frustrating, but we all know the wind could have been worse -- Sunny |

| How sad Glenda. Looks like we might get more storms today too. |
