July Flowers

Here's some things that have been blooming in my yard. I think the lilies have stopped now except for stargazers which I didn't take a picture of yet.
The little pink flower is my Johnson's Blue geranium that I got at the MG sale. I think it must've been mismarked.
Pam - The figleaf hollyhock is from seeds you sent me. I have about 4 or 5 that are all the same color. I remember when I planted those, rabbits or something thinned the the seedlings out greatly.
Does anyone else grow Stokes Aster? I deadheaded mine a couple days ago. I'm hoping they will rebloom.

Great flowers Christie.
I don't know about the asters but maybe someone else will.
Maybe I will get out one day this week an get some shots of what is blooming now in July.
Still waiting on the cleome to bloom.

christie, do I spy two JB on that hollyhock?

It's a very pretty color. Like the other flowers too.

I had stokesia for a couple of years and then it didn't return. I really don't have enough experience to advise you.

Thanks for the pretty pictures. I may take some pictures later. Plants in pots look good but day lilies are getting scorched. Monarda was very showy but is about over. Phlox are doing well now. I could have used that 2 inch rain you got.

Thanks everyone. : )

Helen - My monarda is just about done too. I deadheaded it this time so we'll see if it reblooms. This was taken a two or three weeks ago.

Glenda - Yes Japanese Beetles do like the hollyhocks along with many other things. grrr

How tall is your cleome Bonnie? Mine was very small when it started blooming, maybe about a foot tall but I got them at a nursery so they might have done something to force them to bloom sooner.

Pam - When I first started trading, I always wrote down who sent me what and still do sometimes. I should do it all the time. I think I enjoy the plants more if I remember where they came from.

Christie it is above my knee now.
I see buds now. They look white with pink at the edge. So quite excited to see what they will look like when they open up. I will take a photo when they bloom should be any day now. But with these cloudy rainy days it may not be until the weekend when it is supposed to be sunny.
I have another start of cleome behind that one but it is only about 8" tall.
