leaf lettuce 8/1-15
butterhead lettuce 7/25-30
radishes 8/1-20

I am definitely planting lettuces too.

Good luck to both of us. I have never raised a turnip in my life....it just never worked for me. I love them cooked with a bit of sugar and then hot vinegar sprinkled over at serving.

We have always raised our turnips and mustard greens in the fall and here in z6b planted them anytime between Aug 1 and Sept 15 depending on weather. Some years we get huge turnips, but we like them smaller cooked with the greens as well as cooked alone when they get bigger.

Thanks for posting those dates. It reminded me that I still have some leftover lettuce seeds from spring.
Hey today's the 20th! I could plant some turnips now. It's thundering here though. Maybe I'll get a chance to go out later. Do you direct sow your turnips Mulberryknob?
