I never thought about there being any danger. I am sure I have eaten tomatoes that have had blister beetles. I handle the things and never have experienced blisters. I just sprayed Pyola on my tomatoes tonight. I have been trying not to spray but striped blister beetles appeared like a plague over the weekend. Horses sometimes are affected by blister beetles in their alfalfa hay that has been crimped; they can die because of them. That is because b beetles appear in huge numbers and the animals eat them squashed in the hay. You would not be eating the beetles.
