Phlox seedlings

Seeds I saved from a reverted Peppermint Twist bloomed this year and have given me some pretty flowers. The mama has coral pink flowers. Three of the seedlings had almost pure white blooms which surprised me because my seedlings from 'David' are never white even though the mama is.
I love the color of the reverted Peppermint Twist but even more impressive is how well it blooms. I hope the seedlings inherit that.

So far, none of these seedlings have been the common pinkish purple phlox color that I almost always get from David seedlings.

This seedling is a darker pink.

Such lovely photos, Christie!

RE: Phlox seedlings

You are doing a lot of real gardening. Very pretty colors. I didn't know the David phlox seedlings were magenta. I think you need to divide phlox to multiply them. I hate to dig up David because I don't want to kill it. The butterflies should love your phlox. I am getting lots of black butterflies on them.

RE: Phlox seedlings

I like the seedlings as well as the named varieties!

My David didn't last long. I am sure most of mine are seedlings a from various named ones.

Helen, still very few butterflies here.
