Old Dog, New Tricks...

As one lady on the Harvest forum found out , you're never too old to learn. She discovered, after 30 years of canning, she was cutting her tomatoes wrong!!

I have a few years on her--so I've been doing it wrong longer. Dont cut your tomatoes top to botton(quarter) to remove seeds, which if you do before hand, lot less seeds to deal with! Cut crosswise--just takes a scoop of your finger on each half to remove seeds. I do mine over a seive--juice strained, ready to can--and lots less cooking down time for pizza sause, etc.

Course, probably smarter people than me already do this--LOL
