What a pretty flower! It looks a lot like hibiscus.
I've never grown okra. I can stand to eat them if they're sliced and fried but definitely not one of my favorites.

going to have to cut mine down this fall with a sawz all!
i think it is a member of the hibiscus family.

I like it in gumbalaya at red hot and blue or fried; too lazy to grow it and fix it myself. Most years I don't have the water for anything that isn't a tomato or flowering plant.

I didn't know Okra could have such beautiful blooms. I love it cut up and fried, but I can't stand it boiled. Nice picture!

I just had my first tiny little mess, rolled in cornmeal and fried. Tasted delish.
