Speaking of natives, there is a wild flower growing in the ditches on both sides of AC off 123 on the way to our place. A bicyclist lady who stops by sometimes to take pictures of my flowers, told me about it so the next time out I checked them.
I have never seen them g rowing before. It looks like a scabiosa bloom, pale white/blue/lav (looks white to me) very tall maybe 3 - 4 feet. I can't find it in my Mo. Wild Flower book. Do you all know what I am talking about?

I may try to collect some seeds. It would look pretty among the tall v. bonariensis I think.

Is there any law against collecting wild flower seeds? I have a project in mind for a large area behind my garden.........more on than later if it gets done.

Many of the wild flowers along the road are not really natives or rare. I doubt that you would be in trouble unless the plant is rare or endangered.
