| Last year you had Corkscrew Vine, vigna caracalla, growing on a corner of the pavilion. I know it took a long time to get to that size and it is a tender plant. Did you start it in a greenhouse, buy it started or what? Because of seeing and smelling it, I bought seeds and have it growing in a pot, but am quite sure it will not reach that great size this year. I plan to overwinter it inside and hope I can get bloom next year. |

| gldno1, I'd know more about the vegetable plot specifically, but I'm pretty sure the vine was purchased as a seedling from Arnold's Greenhouse in Leroy, KS. Some of the garden coordinators do make an annual spring trip to find plants and I know for a fact that they sell that plant there. If you've never been, I highly recommend it for a day trip. They have a huge selection and very reasonable prices. You won't be sorry if you can visit. They don't ship plants which is why they go. christie_sw_mo, Yes, it truly is amazing how much a few hands working together can get done. Wish I had that at my home! |

| Christie, you know how young mothers have a group that they share babysitting with...I have often thought that would be a super idea for gardeners. Can you imagine what a group of 4 or five could do in a couple of hours! Sort of a round robin yard man/woman. One can always dream........ glenda |
