I see some yellow spots on the weather map to the west. It may be too late, but I am wishing for rain.

Oh my goodness! We need rain bad! It was hot and windy again today and my yard is getting quite crispy.
We got a few sprinkles yesterday but the bottom of my rain gauge was still dry. The plants I watered just a couple days ago were already wilted again this evening and I didn't have time to make the rounds and water everything.

We need it badly; pastures are burning up. I have almost quit watering. I will be checking the new garden later today. I will water the newly planted turnips at least.

I am about finished with the whole concept of gardening this year.

Not for a few days...NOW! I got a couple good soakers the last couple days. Everything but my gardens was brown before that and we had a burn ban for several weeks. It's been lifted now.
