 o
MO Dept. of Conservation seedling order form available

I checked the MO conservation website today and found a link to their order form for trees and shrubs. New ones they have added this year are Fringetree and American Beautyberry. I'd love to have those and several other things on the list.

The price you see on the left is per bundle, so they're quite cheap. It's a geat deal if you have the time and space to plant them.

I seem to have the most trouble keeping the undesirable plants cleared out that come up in between the trees and shrubs that I've planted along the side of our field. I'm not sure I'm going to order anything this year but wanted to pass along the info in case someone else is interested.

Their rules state that these are for use in Missouri and can't be resold.

Here is a link that might be useful: MDC Seedling Order Form

If I didn't already have so many plants, I might order the conservation bundle. Golden current and fringe tree are in that bundle. I have tried to grow fringe tree before. It has done nothing; I probably should move it. I have heard good things about it. I have buffalo current and I love it in the spring. It declines in hot weather, but it is worth it for spring fragrance.

I think this is the same as golden current in the conservation bundle. click to enlarge:

Thanks for the tip, Christie, I have checked the site several times waiting for the form. I need to get back and see if I want to get anything....I want lots, but finding a spot for them is something else.

helen, I love the current.
