Close Memorial Gardens

I finally made it out there this afternoon. I mainly just did the Master Gardener's Display garden with all the fall grasses and shrubs. It was a beautiful day and the gardens looked wonderful. I got some great ideas for my front-yard border.

I was amazed at the color on the Oak Leaf Hydrangea and the viburnum Carlesii. Got to have those two. The had some perennial shrub like plants I have never seen before or heard of that were fantastic: Polygonum cuspidatum Crimson Beauty, Fallopia japonica and eryngium planum Blaukeppe and persicaria Red Dragon. I ended up taking more shots of the labels than the plants so I would have a record (left purse in truck).

I took pictures of the trellis system for the brambles.

DH was interested in that. We also were taken with the espaliered apple trees.
