HAVE: Chester County Swap

Wow, tremendous amount of activity here!

The spring plant swap has been announced at Hibernia Park in Chester County, just north of Coatesville. This swap has been going on for years and has turned into quite an event. I find the current (county)web page difficult to navigate, but I'll give the info on the flyer and try to point you to the registration sheet. It is possible to register the day of, but then you are wasting time that you should be wandering around looking at all of the plants for trade! If there were enough activity here, we could add to this thread listing what we have to bring and arrange some trades ahead of time. You want to arrive well before it starts in order to unload and look at everyone's goodies.

Where: Hibernia County Park Pavilion #4
When: Sat., April 25, 2009 9:00-10:30 a.m.
Registration/Info: Registration forms available at
http://chesco.org
Or Call the Park at 610-383-3812

RE: HAVE: Chester County Swap

I am looking forward to the plant swap. I recently moved and am still discovering the treasures in my yard. I do have too many grape hyacinths and astilbe of a yet-to-be-determined color that I will be bringing. I have a couple of yuccas, and I also have a few vegetables that I've started from seed that may be available. Since this is my first swap - is it normal to exchange plants in bags? I'm a little low on pots and would like to hang on to mine.
