Have you or your garden club visited public or private gardens (that are open to the public ocassionally) in the central pa area that you thought were exceptional. For example Hershey Gardens, or Felicita. What was really great about your trip. Maybe a picture!
I am trying to plan short day trips for the spring ( about an hour or so from Harrisburg) and would like your ideas.

Mike

I visited Hershey Gardens in early May a couple of years ago. The roses were in full bloom. It was fabulous!

Hershey Gardens has done a lot of improvements of the gardens over the last several years. It is a colorful great garden especially in the early to mid summer. The butterfly house is an added bonus.
I have also walked around the campus of Harrisbueg Area Community College. They have a great collection of conifers near the entrance. ALso most everything is labled. Also have many planting around the campus that are hidden in and around building - worth a visit.
Has anyone visitied private gardens that are ocassionally open to garden clubs?
