Orange Larvae--Friend or Foe?

Can someone help me id some strange larvae I've found on my barbary shrubs? They are blobby looking. They are about 1/4" in size, orange with black markings. One one end they have short black bristles tipped in white. My ladybug larvae seem to enjoy snacking on them.

Any insights would be appreciated!

RE: Orange Larvae--Friend or Foe?

I saw your post a couple of weeks ago, and didn't have an answer for you. But just last night I read that the larvae of the assassin bug is orange, so that might be what your creatures are. If they are, then they are considered friendly (according to this book I read), as the assassin bug will eat other harmful bugs. Hope that helps.
