I was just at this greenhouse today and Mr. Mutschler told me he was getting some really neat carnivorous plants in stock.

I took a class on container bog gardens at Bowman's Hill Wildflower Preserve and some of those were carnivorous. If that's what you're looking for contact the Preserve. If they aren't selling them; they could probably tell you the name of the man that taught the class. I know that he sold them. The Preserve is online but I'm not sure of their web address, something like www.bhwp.org Billie

Aquascapes Unlimited held bog workshops. I'm not certain they sell plants except for wholesale or at their workshops.

I'm pretty sure Waterloo has them as well...at least, they did last year.

I was just at waterloo gardens in exton and when I asked them about CPs the clerk looked at me like I had two heads and said they don't EVER carry them. I had seen them there about 3 years ago but I had no interest at that time. So far I've found them at several Lowes stores in the region. I now have 3 Venus flytraps, a purple pitcher plant and an Asian Pitcher plant. I can't get anymore plants now. First I want to make sure I can successfully grow and maintain the ones I have and if I can do that I need to invest in a 3 stage reverse osmosis water filter which should help my other house plants including the carnivorous plants I want to keep. Thanks for the help every one. I may still check out some of the places suggested as well as Otts. :-)

Waterloo was in the middle of re-negotiating their contract with their carnivorous plants dealer. This was early spring, so hopefully they have a better selection now. All I could get was a nepenthese alata and they were out of those a few weeks later. I would call first.

Try a rain barrel. Cheep source of distilled water. This worked for a friend who was raising sundews in Glenside.

Do venus fly trap plants emit some sort of scent to attact flies and other insects?
