It looks like a White-breasted Nuthatch. Nuthatches usually climb down tree trunks headfirst! :)

It is a nuthatch. Lucky you ! I haven't seen one in a long time. I had a cute little wren stop by on Saturday and the Gold Finches are passing through now.

This is the first time I have seen him in our yard. He was so easy to photograph. He just kept coming back for seeds every couple minutes. He either has a BIG appitite or there are more than one here. He was also easy to spot because he kept climbing down the tree head first.

Aren't they adorable? I saw one this evening too they aren't shy at all When I put up a suet feeder for the woodies I saw them all winter and the redbreasted too They have the funniest voice too very nasal. Sarah
