Native leather flower Clematis

I'm curious to know if any PA gardeners are growing these. In my garden are Clematis glaucophylla, viorna, versicolor, pitcheri, texensis and some other of that group of US native Clematis. Though the flowers are smaller than the large flowered hybrids, the long season of bloom and attractive seed heads, along with the no pruning dilemma and hummingbird plant make them a great choice.

It seems that the Europeans and Japanese have been growing our species for decades while here , even among the top botanic gardens, hardly any of the natives have been visible.
