rain/thunderstorms AGAIN

Just checked the weather...40% chance of thunderstorms this afternoon????? If it rains again, I am going to scream. Is this everywhere, or just here? It has rained every day for the past two weeks, even if only for a few minutes. Every morning the sun is shining and I think, "Hmmm..I can cut the grass after work." But nooooo...the grass is now almost a foot high in places. So many of my plants have been flattened and there hasn't been enough dry weather for them to pick themselves up.

Is there such a thing as perfect weather for gardeners?

I said I'd scream if it rains. I was ready to begin screaming when the storm hit, but got confused. I hadn't made any plans for what to do if it HAILS.

I know what you mean ---it has ruined my once-blooming roses------YUK.
A lot of folks on the Rose Forum are also complaining but I guess it is better than a drought.

I don't mind the rain, but it's the lower temps, lower dew points and overcast days. To me, the perfect weather is sunny, warm and a little rain every day. I'd have to say Florida weather is great. The sunny days, humidity, and a quick rain every day for an hour or 2. They have been known to get their droughts tho.

Remember how dry it was?????? So I am glad for the rain except we had a heck of a time planting this year. First not warm enough then 95 then rain. I've never planted so late as this year. What a crazy year!
