Question about Coreopsis and cosmos

Posted by shonoo 6b (My Page) on

I will be receiving some coreopsis and cosmos seeds shortly.

Is it OK to plant these seeds now? I see that most coreopsis plants are already grown and flowering. If not, then is it OK to hold on to the seeds and plant them next year ? Do I have to start them indoors ?

Thanks

RE: Question about Coreopsis and cosmos

Coreopsis are perennials so you can start them now to get them started for nest year. Put the Cosmos in as soon as you get them, it's not that far into the season. Be sure in all this heat to keep them watered and provide some portable shade for a while so they don't get burned up.
