| Has anyone seen any double petunias?? (I assume they are double?)
I saw beautiful ones in a garden center in Baltimore, they remind me of a big ruffled petticoat! I haven't seen any here..... I live in Philadelphia, but would be happy to drive an hour for flowers! Thanks |

| Is this what you want? They have a retail locator on the page. jeanne |
Here is a link that might be useful: Double Wave
| I saw some in Perkasie yesterday but they weren't Waves. They were a cream color and really pretty. Here is picture of the type I saw. If they have them in Perkasie,my guess is that any of the larger places around you probably have them too.

| I used to grow Rose Piroutte and Purple Piroutte double petunias. The Rose one looks like this:
The Purple looks the same but is dark purple colored. Both have varying degrees of white variegation. The Purple (like alot of dark-colored petunias) was fragrant - almost wafting fragrant. I haven't seen the doubles being sold around here for awhile... I guess they are being pushed aside by all the "wave" and "surfina" and "surftina" bedding petunias, etc. |
| Oh, they're awesome! |
| Thank you for the beautiful pictures! Yes, that looks like the ones I saw, they were red & white. They also had purple & white. Where in Perkasie did you see them?? Thanks! |
| Rogers on Route 313. They have a great selection of annuals, perennials, vegetables etc. If you aren't familiar with the area,it's almost on the corner of 313 and 5th,which is the main road going through Perkasie. |
| No, I am not really familiar with the area but I will do a search & try & find it on the internet Thank you (Guess I could go back to Baltimore! lol) |
| ok, I found Rogers Road Stand & got directions on the internet. Is it a big place or really just a roadstand? Any other nurseries/garden centers in the area? I could make a day of it. Thank you |
| It depends on what you mean by roadstand. They have several greenhouses full of shade plants, hundreds of perennials, roses some shrubs, vegetables and all the regular annuals and baskets plus the petunia you are looking for . . They sell garden gadgets, mulch of every kind, fertilizers, pots etc. but there is no big commercial store. If you think you might make the trip, call them to see if they still have the petunias. They are incredibly gracious people. |
| It sounds like a pretty big operation. I guess the name is deceiving! Roadstand to me means just that, someone set up a stand by the road. lol I am going to try to get out there this weekend. |
