Can anyone tell me what is happening to my purple coneflower and Autumn Joy Sedum. These spots have been appearing and have almost covered the coneflower and most of the sedum. In fact some of the sedum leaves have withered and died. Is it disease, insects or weather related. What should I do

Thanks for your help

It looks like insect damage to me that is turning brown as the holes try to heal over. The biggest problem would be any diseases that the bugs spread. I would remove any foliage may begin to look diseased.

Thanks Kim, Both seem to have perked up a bit in recent days. I did give them a shot of insect control way back, so that may have helped.

BTW your garden is great...I don't do vegetables...the few times I've tried the deer always had first choice. I gave up...just keep on with my flowers.
