| I have something eating or gnawling at the stalk of my sweet corn. I have 4 plants now that have fallen over. At the point where they break it is brown and mushy looking. Any ideas? Thanks

| i had the same thing happen to me last growing season. i wanted to wait just a few more days to picka few ears that were looking just about ready, and never got the chance. i blamed it on the squirrels, but it could have been raccoon, skunk, possum ~~ there's quite a number of critters that roam around. i was going to try and plant it this year surrounded by chicken wire, but i never got around to planting it at all. |
