I'm having a great year, too! We started from nothing 9 years ago and things are finally mature and lush. We haven't had much rain, but the JB's seem to be (finally) under control. I grew almost all my annuals from seed this year and I'm so impressed by how nice they all look - they're actually blooming! I planted Raggedy Ann Zinnias, Salvia Plum Fantasy, Nicotiana Marshmallow, and other unusual varieties you don't find at the garden centers. The perennials are mature and the shrubs I bought in tiny 1 gal. containers are HUGE! Yep, it's all good!

Aggie, you must stop and admire the gardens, and make sure to let their keepers know how beautiful you think they are. I always appreciate it when someone complements my garden as they walk by and I do the same. I've gotten some nice cuttings and divisions by doing so, and I'm always happy to give away things from my garden to admirers too. And don't worry - all gardeners are nuts! You're in with a good crowd!

I never thought of it that way M-good thought! There is one down the street that I just love to look at-tons of butterflies and big, beautiful Butterfly Bushes, just perfect and what I want~**
