hi joan,
sort of. it poured for about 2 mins, then drizzled. we got less than a tenth of an inch :-(
i still have to water all of my container plants, and i'll have to rescue some of the goldfish. by tomorrow i think there might be about 2" remaining in the bottom of the pond.
i read delaware valley news today. i had no idea of the devastation in your area...the huge trees that fell onto homes and cars, etc. i hope you didn't have any of that kind of damage.

hi matt.no we didn't have anything that bad.our neighbor did.we only had huge branches come down and messed up some of my plants.but they come back.one slid over our roof, that was just put on 4wks ago no damage.but on the last day before we got electric back.i had my dh plug my pond into the generator.so my fish got some air.
i hope your fish do ok.you might have to get a kiddie pool and put then in.am i right that your pond is natureal pond, i remember from the swap.what kind of fish.if you need to find a foster home.let me know.i'll be thinking of you.joan

RE: rain

hi joan,

thanks so much for the offer. i do have another pond that was supposed to be finished this fall. it doesn't go dry because it is directly over a spring. i can transfer the fish there, but the hard part is getting them out of the first pond. it's loaded with pond plants, so the fish are usually hard to find. i haven't checked lately, it will probably be so low that catching them won't be a problem.

glad to hear that you escaped damage!
