Help with planting spring bulbs

Well, with winter not too far away, 2 things shed some sunshine ray of warmth on this.

1. NFL

2. upcoming spring.

Which leads me to my question. My wife and I want to plant a bunch of crocus bulbs and also some tulips along with hyacinths in the fall. What other bulbs or seeds can we plant along with the above mentioned items and get flowers in the summer and fall after these spring flowers are done in the late spring? I want to set the flower bed so that I get flowers in the spring and all summer long, and maybe into the fall. The area we plan to put these bulbs in is semi shaded. I want to plant stuff that will come back year after year and not have to worry about totally replanting anything the following year. It's a little hard to lay down a ton of bulbs and not worry about having to dig a space for a summer flowers and fall flowers.
