Is this a weed, or some kind of ornamental grass?

I'm in Harrisburg, PA. I have 2 spots where this grass looking plant has come up. I don't know what it is or where it came from... 1 of them did just put out a kind of flower (not terribly attractive, but maybe it helps someone tell me what this thing is). It looks like in a decent sized clump this might be nice (or as/if it gets bigger), so I don't want to rip it out or move it till I get some idea what it is if it's something worth keeping.

Here is a link that might be useful: unknown plant/weed

I think you have a clump of nut grass there.... I would get rid of it asap since it's pretty high on the annoying weed scale. If you dig it up there will probably be a bunch of white roots that are spreading out and starting new plants.... it also leaves little brown bulbs (nuts) that will sprout new plants whenever they get a chance!

Thanks for the response. I ripped it out, yes it had those roots (didn't see the bulbs). Came out very easy at least. I'll keep a eye out for more.
