diseased oak leaves

I've got a red oak that's suddenly sporting large blighted dark green areas on the leaves. The affected leaves are curling and dropping. I hope it doesn't have that awful oak plague that's supposedly wiping them out on the East Coast. Anybody know the symptoms?

I've been checking this post to see if anyone could help you. Why don't you try the tree forum...or one that discusses diseases. Good luck and I hope your red oak is ok.
