daylilies free for the taking

Posted by bulbs z6 PA (My Page) on

I have some daylilies (don't know particular name - have had them for about 10 years) - want to try something new next year, and need space, so willing to give the plants to anyone who can come get them. I don't mail plants. Live a bit north of Philadelphia (between Horsham & Lansdale) - let me know if interested. Will discard in a few weeks if no replies. Thanks, bulbs

Wow, I wish that I lived alittle closer, I would love to take them off your hands. There is going to be some very happy gardener down there by Philly.

RE: daylilies free for the taking

If you don't get any takers, just put them in a bag by the road with a sign on them, and someone will take them. I have also been successful with using FreeCycle to get rid of nice but unwanted plants.

RE: daylilies free for the taking

I would have thought someone would have leapt at this offer by now. I live near Harrisburg, but I have a son in Limerick who works in Kulpsville a few days a week - is that even remotely close? If so I'll ask him if he'll pick them up......

RE: daylilies free for the taking

katie -

just checked with some others here at work, and they said Kulpsville was about 40-45 minute drive from me (and it's closer than Limerick). Probably further than you desire.

Thanks, bulbs

RE: daylilies free for the taking

hey bulbs...

let me know if these are still available. sorry i didn't see this sooner. if not, my loss.

i'm in jenkintown...not too far from you and well worth the drive. if they are availble, i'll bring my gloves and shovel, and anything you might want in exchange!

RE: daylilies free for the taking

Daylilies were picked up yesterday (Sun. afternoon) -

No longer available. (good thing they were taken before the rainpour expected this evening!)
