black disc shaped eggs on pumpkin leaves

My Atlantic Giant pumpkin plants are fading fast, and I just was looking at the leaves. A couple of them had a whole bunch of black disc shaped eggs on thin stalks. They were not in clusters, but spread all over, some with 2 or 3 eggs on a stalk. Bigger than squash bug eggs, a little over 1/16 inch in diameter, but quite thin. I can post a picture later, but does anyone know what kinds of eggs these might be?

I know you posted this awhile ago, but this may help for this year. not sure from your description, but we had terrible trouble with stinkbugs eating the zucchini, okra, squash etc.it wasn't until later in the gardening season, around aug./sept.Did you have these?
