spotty geranium leaves

This year i have had a problem with my geraniums. The leaves get a yellow spot that then turns brown, eventually spreading to the entire leaf. Then it dies, turns crispy & gets powdery, crusty spots on it. I don't know if this is a disease or if the weather has been the problem. I'm in eastern PA near Boyertown. I haven't grown geraniums too often & haven't seen this before, but this year i have lots of geraniums & all of them, even on different sides of the house, have these spots. I don't know if i am able to save these plants for next year or if they should be tossed at the end of the growing season. There is one plant i have kept for 3 years now & it has gotten to be so beautiful that i would hate to throw it away. What do you think i should do?
