I'm sitting here on the front porch enjoying the rain that's coming down. Most of you might be sick of a wet summer but here in my little section of the Wyoming valley we've been dry since mid July. I liked the vacation from grass mowing but now that fall is here I want there to be some green in my lawn... Plus things are starting to die and I'm sick of watering.
So I'm enjoying the rain and hoping this is the end of our summer drought... Just in time for it to all turn to snow!

RE: Rain

Oh my, yes! I had a shipment of plants today and couldn't be more overjoyed to plant them in the downpour over what we have been having. We're on a well here so I try not to water too many things so I definitely needed the rain.

RE: Rain

What's rain? So. York County.

RE: Rain

Still dry down there? We haven't had anything since that storm. I saw on the news that this area is 8 inches under for the year.
I have my fingers crossed for next weekend but it's still a way off.... A gardener is the only person other than a farmer who would hope for a rainy weekend!
I gave up on watering. Things are wilting in the sun, but as long as we don't go too high in temperature I think most plants can limp along into fall.... And the annuals can do the best they can until frost :(
