Any experience with firepower nandina?

I'm considering including 6 of them in my foundation border. I'm in suburban Philadelphia. The border has a southern exposure and half of the nandinas would be in full sun the rest would be in a partial shade situation. I'm guessing they won't remain evergreen in my area, but I like the low height of the plant, the reddish fall color sounds nice and I like the shape of the leaves. In your opinion are they a worthwhile plant for a foundation border? I'd love to hear anyone's experience with this shrub especially those located in Chester County. If it helps any, I'm also including a dwarf Alberta Spruce, some gold mop cypress, a blue spruce shrub, two plum passion nandinas and some green luster hollies for starters. I haven't gotten to the flowering shrubs yet.
