Hi All,

I wan to get the ingredients for Al's gritty mix for cacti. It consists of turface and granite grit. Does anyone know where in the Pittsburgh area one could get these items.

Thanks,

Peaches

Try Agway, they will have chicken grit, and maybe Profile, if you cant find Profile or turface, look for a Auto Parts that sell Napa Oil dry - Check on Al's posts to see exacty which oil dry works in place of turface. The small pine chips that I use I get at a local garden center, it is called soil conditioner.

Here is a link that might be useful: AGWAY

Hi peaches! I live on the opposite side of the state. I get my turface all sport (same as MVP) from John Deere Landscapes. There's a location in Pittsburg at

1025 Mt. Nebo Road
Pittsburgh PA 15237
(412) 364-2195

Call ahead of time and ask if they have "Turface All Sport". Don't get "All Sport Pro"! I believe it has too many fine particles.

Good luck!
Kristopher
