It's great for the procrastinators like myself. Usually I'm freezing while I finish off the last chores of the season. Today I pulled out the garden furniture to sit and admire my progress while sipping a cool drink. I can't wait till tomorrow, same temperatures and the whole morning has been set aside as 'me doing yard work' time. Cannas are first on the list.

It is wonnnnnnnnnderful out there! I went to Waterloo's in Exton, and got a few perennials, a few bulbs, winter pansies, a spirea in full fall color, and a Sarcococca hookeriana I want to 'give a whirl' and see how it does. Can't pass on a fragrant plant :-D My Fothergillas are doing their fall color thing, along with my Sourwood, Red Maple is starting to get red now, clethras are yellow, the Ilex verticillatas are loaded with red berries, the Iteas are burgandy/red, the 'Wolf Eye' Cornus kousa is in it's red color, despite the tough summer. Just beautiful out there.

I need another month of it.

I finished planting the bulbs! I think that means I must need more bulbs....
