Lagerstroemia / Dwarf Crape Myrtle

Has anyone had any experience with growing "crape myrtlette" in PA zone 6b? I'm going to start some from seed and I chose the dwarf variety due to space limitations. It is listed as growing in zones 7-10, and I wondered if anyone has had some overwinter successfully in 6B.

They are all over Lancaster County. I know that some cultivars are hardier than others, can't speak for anything from seed.

I'm colder than you are and regular crape myrtle can overwinter every now and then... I think one of the benefits of having the dwarf ones is they can freeze to the ground and then because they are smaller plants, they can sprout up new and bloom just fine the following summer.
