WANTED: White "fungus" on Robellini Palm

We live in Los Angeles. Planted in the ground two Robellini Palms several years ago. Both flourished for number of years. The one that was in the area that got little sunlight gradually died during the last 2 years. We replaced it a month ago [was in 14-in. diameter pot].

Within the last week a white "fungus" has appeared on the newer fronds on both the new and old palms - but much more extensive on the old one. [Over the years we have never seen anything like this.]

Was there something on the new Robellini Palm that infected the old one [which is about 30 ft. away]?

Has anyone else experienced this with new [or old] Robellini Palms recently? E.g., are the nurseries in S. Calif. having problems with their Robellini Palms?

Or is this a new infestation in S. Calif.?

What remedies should we try?

Thank you.
