Broke down...

and wrapped some lights around it. Maybe unnecessary as it's only supposed to last one night...but, this guy has not had any kind of protection for years now, and has likewise, not seen temps like this for years. Just would regret not doing something, and then seeing serious damage. Good luck to everyone pushing the limits out there.

Trish, think we be be okay. They seem to be upping the minimums...now to 9, and it is going to be short-lifted as cold goes. 50's by weekend.

Ended up getting a lot colder than forecasted in my yard, hopefully you faired better by you! I hope your trachy pulls through, it's still looking beautiful!

Still looking good, its in a nice microclimate. Fronds on some of my trachies look much worse.
