Cycad seems to be dieing a slow and painful death

So my cycad/sago palm was fine, but then some white spots appeared, i didnt notice until about 1 week (since i havent moved in back then) from where we started treating with fungucides but a little of research led me to diagnose it with scales. I treated it with systematic insecticides and sprayed it with oil which did help. The next day the fronds started to become a little yellow with orange/yellow spots likes burns and now all the fronds are falling and peeling, its like if they couldnt attach to the bark and are peeling. Is it still saveable? thanks a lot and happy new year!

photo?? Likely they will do OK as long as they are not dying for some other reason, like rot (overwatering, too cold etc.).

More likely, if in a Northern home, too hot and dry. Most common species is Cycas revoluta and they frankly do not make the best of 'house' plants (which is why mine stay out of the house and get overwintered in a garage).

The leaves may get damaged from the oil and harsh chemical, but as long as it pits out new leaves this spring, it should be fine.
