A visit to Palmyra Cove-pics

Today I visited Palmyra Cove Nature Park. Palms definitely needed pruning (and need more), but they're not in bad shape, all things considered. A few Trachycarpus have 5-10% brown; other trachys 50-70% brown. Also pictured is a Sabal Louisiana. The last 2 pics are a needle palm with deer-zizzled fans, and larger needle palms in Willingboro.

It's really nice to see those palms surviving and doing well in zone 7a even though this winter was really tough on the windmills. The needles look like they're pretty much out in the open and untouched by the cold. Pretty cool to see the minimal damage on the Louisiana. It gives me hope that I can grow one here in 6b with only slightly more damage.
