You could do it if you use a sharp, sterile knife. These are four, separate plants. Chuck the palm out of he container and cut through the root mass--try not to pull the roots--cutting is better. They should make it, but I would wait until March to do it. Keep them slightly moist afterwards, watch he direct sun or excessive dry air until it acclimates itself.
