Imagine a parterre approximately 20' x 8' enclosed by a hedge of Carissa holly. I've decided to plant two sago palms as specimens, down the spine of the parterre, dividing the bed into thirds.

My question: what companion plants, in your view,would look especially beautiful with these two cycads? The parterre is in full sun, zone 8A, Alabama. Thanks for your ideas.
