I need to get me some hardy agave. I have a very large bluish American Agave a many generations descendant of a baby I grabbed out of a San Diego garden in 1976. A local palm enthusiast/horticulturist swears if I plant it, it will survive here, but I keep reading they are hardy to z9.

A.Americana saw 19F before I dug it up,no problem,the variegated one was fine too.

We had about three, but just dustings each time that didn't even get grass completely covered.

Jim maybe you can turn on that Tropical Tan business across the the street onto some cold hardy palms. They ain't looking so tropical.
