1st aftnoon sun in 5 months for my tall coconut

I keep this baby in a north facing window all wintter with temps 60-65. I don't see much growth but it is healty and green. I have found that tall coconuts do better as potted plants then dwarfs. it was sunny and 66 here yesterday so i brought 9 of my palms out for the afternoon.You can see one of my yeard old Filifera's in the bottom right of the picture

Nice coconut! I definitely agree, tall coconuts do MUCH better in pots than the dwarfs (very ironic I know). I have both and my Dwarf (looks a lot like yours) does well indoors, but my tall does great indoors. The Tall is still completely green and has pushed up 2 fronds since October!

Be careful going from indoor north window to direct outdoor sun. I'be sunburned leaves with less contrast than that. Hate to see that happen to your nice coco.

I'm not too worried about too worried about sun burn. We hit 76 yesterday and will be in mid-low 70s for the next week and only falling into the low-mid 50s at night. All my palms will be out for the week if that holds up. Being that it is March (even thought it felt like late May yesterday) the UV index it topping out at 4 (where in late June-
Early July it tops out at 10). I was thinking about ferilizing last night but I thought it may be too early in the year.
