Great read. And so true. Some ppl are too quick to think a palm is dead. Some palms have been known to come back after a year of no growth.

Now that temps are starting warm up a lot new damage is showing up. Plus this is the time rot will set in the growing bud. Even if you haven't tried it, peroxide down the hole of a palm with spear pull can help stop rotting. Regardless, keep an eye out for insects. They will be after those weak and sick plants. I already had to spray all of my agaves. Loses from this winter are mounting up.

My "Bulgarian" continues to push out new growth and even produced several inflorescences! Other palms around town are showing signs of life as well. I've updated some of the winter survivors here:

I have a small needle palm that isn't looking too good.

But the large ones are growing nicely.

Does anyone know if windmill palms can be grown indoors until they get big (I've done this with needle palms)?
