I just received my cycads sooner than expected and I have to get the potting mix together. I've searched the internet and found different ideas and recipes for it. What are the proportions for the perlite, wood chips and cactus mix? What type of wood chips are the best? What type of fertilizer is best to use? I've found articles about blood and bone fertilizers.
Also, is it necessary to have terracotta pots? These are so heavy. Would a resin pot work as good?
