Indian Hawthorne (Raphiolepsis indica)?

I'm just learning about Indian Hawthorne. A local palm enthusiast, who also owns a tree farm/landscape business educated me about them. Apparently they are pretty well suited in our borderline 7b/8a zone. He showed me several that were tree form and an entire row he planted down in Bethany Beach, Delaware. I think I need to get some of these flowering BLEs.

I feel like a fool for not knowing the ID on this. It was quite beautiful though. It seemed to have greener, glossier leaves and darker pink flowers than ones I had seen before. Also the ones I had seen before were always trimmed into an orb which I hate. Ironically, the day after I took the pics, the idiot landscaper trimmed it into a box and cut off 100's of blooms. I'd like to give it a try but it seems to be a 7b plant at best from what I've read. I don't need anything else to protect!

I really like indian harthones. I knew a lot about them when I first got interested in all this tropical planting 5 years back or so. They sort of went to the back of my mind from there, but they are really beautiful plants and I think Im going to get some. The more cold tolerant ones are worth trying in my zone 7. Maybe one day they will have cold hardy hybirds that can survive in a zone 6 (camellias used to be zone 8 plants, now many are zone 7 plants and some zone 6 plants. Gardenias used to be zone 8 plants also and now a few are 7b plants and even 7a plants).
