Windmill Palm update.

I wanted to get some opinions on plunging palm trees. I have had my windmill for a year now. The trunk is only about a foot tall so I didn't want to risk planting the palm in the ground yet. I thought maybe plunging it would be the better option. My only concern is when I dig it out in the winter, will it harm the tree when I have to sever the roots growing out of the drainage holes? Would it be best to just to keep the palm growing in it's pot on porch?

My windmill palm was a gift from a close friend. I have been very pleased with it's growth up to this point. I didn't keep it growing under my HPS light and the palm thrived. It's now twice as large as it was when I received it. In fact I repotted it once all ready and the roots are all ready growing out the bottom of the pot again!

I am wondering if it should be re potted again, or if I should just wait until fall.

Andrew
